Matt and Kelly Kofahl were married in Brighton in 2005 and have lived in Brighton since 2012. They have three children who attend Hornung Elementary: Landon, Josephine, and Madelynn. The entire family is active at 242 Community Church and as a family they love camping and all things outdoors.
Matt grew up in Brighton and attended Hilton elementary, Maltby, and then Brighton High School. He graduated from Central Michigan University with his B.S. and M.B.A. Besides ninja warrior, his spends his free time weight-lifting and participating in downhill mountain biking with his son Landon.
Kelly grew up in Milford and attended private school through high school. She graduated from Oakland University with her bachelor's degree and then graduated from Cooley Law School with a juris doctorate. She remains an active member of the State Bar of Michigan in good standing. Kelly's hobbies include fishing, reading, and teaching her children about cooking and healthy eating.
Landon Kofahl won first place in a National Ninja League competition in December 2016, qualifying for the national finals in February 2017 to take place in Connecticut. Landon loves ninja warrior, downhill mountain biking, and Nerf gun battles.
Josephine and Madelynn Kofahl are the two youngest in the Kofahl family and are twins with two completely different personalities! Josephine loves animals, playing with her baby dolls and is caring, patient, and kind to everyone. Madelynn is fearless and always willing to try new things. She has a great sense of humor and always make those around her smile.
Our two families came up with the idea for a ninja warrior gym after our children became passionate about all things ninja warrior. It started in the Kofahl's basement where we built hanging obstacles in every square inch of available ceiling space and covered the floor with balance obstacles like a teeter-toter and slackline. As our passion for the sport grew, we knew that we needed to turn this into a business so that the whole community could experience ninja obstacle training!
Kirk and Sarah Mrozek met at college and were married in Grand Ledge in 2010. They recently moved to Milford after living in Howell for four years. They have one son, Liam. As a family they enjoy camping, beaches, and outdoor activities.
Kirk graduated from Western Michigan University with his bachelor's in engineering. Besides ninja warrior, he used to play semi-professional hockey as a goalie and continues to play recreationally. His other hobbies include racing cars, motocross, and weight-lifting.
Sarah also graduated from Western Michigan University with her master's degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked as an OT for seven years. Her hobbies include crafting, being a stay at home mom, preparing healthy meals, and refinishing furniture.
Liam is our littlest ninja, he enjoys playing with cars, trucks, and is pretty much your typical little boy.
